There are a number of ways you can support the ministries of the First Presbyterian Church of Polson through volunteering your time and talents – both within our church and within the wider Polson community. Here is a partial list of groups and events that can use more helping hands.
Within Our Church
Free monthly community dinner at the Polson church, second Friday of each month. Volunteer to help prepare a meal, serve, or clean up. Or volunteer to take the lead in preparing the meal. All are welcome.
Our garden, located on church grounds, grows healthy and tasty vegetables for the local food bank. Volunteer to “adopt” one of the garden plots during the summer to provide nourishing food for people in need in our community.
Polson High School Senior Graduation Luncheon
Each year in June, our church hosts a luncheon to honor the graduating seniors of Polson High School. Volunteer to help prepare the meal, serve, or clean up. Our seniors greatly appreciate this special way of celebrating their academic success.
Personal Care Bags
Made for Share the Spirit, Safe Harbor Lake House, & Wrapped in Hope, these personal care bags provide short-term necessaries for women and children seeking safe, secure environments on an emergency basis.
Children’s Learning Time
Adult volunteers are always needed to guide the children and youth of our church in Bible study and Christian learning during our weekly worship service.
Bible Day Camp
The Ecumenical Vacation Bible day camp for grades 1-6, organized by several local churches, takes place the third week of June each year at Glacier Camp and Conference Center on Flathead Lake. Volunteers are always needed to help organize and staff this wonderful opportunity to offer Christian education and outdoor recreation to youth in the Polson community.
